Small Credit Union Initiatives
There are many programs within Missouri Credit Union Association and the credit union movement that focus on small credit union needs.

CPDOnline Scholarship
The Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation (MCUCF) offers a scholarship for small credit unions to use the Credit Union National Association's CPDOnline Web-based training program. Available to Missouri credit unions with less than $20 million in assets, the scholarship covers the $400 annual subscription fee. Participating credit unions must complete twelve online tests in one year in order to receive the scholarship. Credit unions are asked to complete the CPDOnline Scholarship Agreement and fax it to Liz Adams at (314) 542-1312.

Frank Lindsey Grant Program
The Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation (MCUCF) funds the Frank Lindsey Grant Program.  This program provides assistance to
credit unions with less than $10 million in assets. Funding must first go towards a STAR, VAP, or MERIT correspondence course before it can be applied towards MCUA conferences or MCUA webinars. Contact the Missouri Credit Union Association Education Department at (314) 542-1331,1-888-800-6287, or education@mcua.org.  A Frank Lindsey Grant summary and application form are also available for your convenience.

Small CU Webinar Scholarship Agreement
In 2010, the Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation will provide funding for MCUA webinars.  Credit unions with less than $20 million in assets are eligible to attend six webinars free of charge in 2010 as long as funds remain available.  Credit unions must complete the online registration no less than three business days prior to the start of the webinar. Payment for the webinar will then be made by the Foundation to the webinar provider. Attendance by your credit union is mandatory if you accept the scholarship. Failure to attend the webinar will necessitate repayment of the webinar registration fee to the Foundation from your credit union.

2010 Travel Stipend Policy
The Missouri Credit Union Charitable Foundation Board of Directors has approved travel stipend policy for 2010 for MCUA conferences. The following criteria must be met in order for a scholarship recipient to qualify for a travel stipend:

Credit union must be less than $35 million in assets.
Submit a letter of request to Liz Adams, MCUCF Executive Director, prior to attending the conference.
One travel stipend per credit union with a maximum limit of $500.
Stipend will cover travel (mileage), hotel room, and meals not provided at the conference.
Receipts must be submitted within 30 days of the final day of the school/conference.

There is an annual limit of $5,000. Funds will be disbursed on a first come, first served basis.

Small Credit Union Success Seminars
These seminars are hosted annually at locations throughout the state. They are specifically designed for the needs of small credit unions, and benefit management, staff, and volunteers. For a fee of only $10 per credit union, an unlimited number of participants can attend. Contact your Missouri Credit Union Association Field Representative, or Jean Hadley at 1-800-633-1722 or Jhadley@mcua.org for more information.

Partners in Progress Program
Partners in Progress matches small credit unions that need operational or technical assistance with larger credit unions that have the resources to meet those needs. The Missouri Credit Union Association field staff makes sure the partnership is a fit, both philosophically and operationally. Contact Don Cohenour at 1-800-633-1722 or DCohenour@mcua.org.
